From early on, humans started writing and drawing in stones.
Through time, paper made from wood was invented and became the main source for written communication for a long time.
However as our population increases and the need for land to be cleared for livestock and habitation, wood pulp paper is no longer sustainable and it requires raw materials that need to be grown, cultivated, treated and then distributed. This is not only harmful to the environment but our planet is no longer able to provide enough land and water to sustain making traditional wood pulp paper at the rate of consumption.
So Scribe in Stone was created. Scribe (pronounce:/skrʌɪb/) meaning write, is improving on how we can make products using existing waste materials (from mining quarries), produce less pollution, as well as how we can increase our ability to recycle endlessly creating zero waste.
To create sustainable, naturally acid and bleach free products of high quality and design that are functional, beautiful to write on to jot down your ideas, inspirational stories, gratitude journal and much more
And because our stone paper products are not made of wood pulp, they are naturally waterproof, protecting your written work from being damaged or loss from water spill.
